Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) is the largest and oldest charity funding research on ovarian cancer in the U.S.  OCRF’s Super Saturday, a day-long fundraising event for the entire family, is in its 17th year in New York, and will launch in LA in May, 2014.  Super Saturday New York was founded in 1998 by fashion designer Donna Karan, and late OCRF President and Editor-In-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar, Liz Tilberis. The first Super Saturday event raised $200,000 —and last year, in 2013, this fantastic event raised nearly $3.7 million, the most ever, towards our vital research programs.

Super Saturday New York is one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the summer.  Each year, over 2,000 people attend Super Saturday New York in the Hamptons–guests include supporters and their families, designers, celebrities, editors, media, and fashion lovers. Hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan, and sponsored by QVC, this world famous designer garage sale brings top luxury name brands in high fashion, accessories, beauty products, children’s clothing, and home goods at 30-50% off retail to guests with a passion for charity, fashion and bargains. Need a break from amazing shopping? Grab a bite and a drink and enjoy activities with the kids or take a break with a spa treatment at one of our experience  tents. Food and refreshments are available throughout the day and are included in  the ticket price. All proceeds from sales of merchandise, tickets and tables go toward funding OCRF’s mission of supporting vital ovarian cancer research by the nation’s top scientists in their efforts to end this terrible disease.

QVC Broadcast
In 2007, QVC took Super Saturday to the next level with their first nationally televised, live 2-hour broadcast, Super Saturday Live.

Super Saturday is a day filled with shopping, family and awareness of the importance of research for ovarian cancer. And through “QVC Presents Super Saturday LIVE” a two-hour live broadcast from the event, our mission is broadcast to millions of homes throughout the country, as well. If you can’t join us in the Hamptons, tune in to QVC on July 26, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. EST, for a chance to purchase discounted products from top companies and designers with proceeds benefiting OCRF’s research and support program for women undergoing treatment.

OCRF is thrilled to bring the Super Saturday experience to our loyal supporters on the West Coast in 2014. On May 17th Super Saturday Los Angeles is landing at the historic Santa Monica Barker Hangar! Hosted by Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman, and Molly Sims and Scott Stuber, the event promises to be a fun-filled extravaganza for the whole family. Now you can support our mission on both coasts!
